Whilst photographing this memorial park, I had an interesting conversation with a local resident named Reg, (He is in the background in one of the photos!) whom remembered attending various remembrance ceremonies in the past and he was sure that the memorial used to have a sun dial on the top of it. It may have been damaged and removed after the memorial was vandalised some time back. Do you remember the memorial as it was in its former glory or do you have a photograph of it in its original form?
