Ian Wade (Founder of The Chingford & Walthamstow War Memorial Projects) at The Cenataph at The Town Hall11th November this year marks the 90th anniversary of the end of the First world War. As you will see at the exhibition, the end of war did not mean the end of the suffering and pain of the local people that lost fathers, sons, husbands and brothers. Approximately 500 men from Chingford and 2000 from Walthamstow gave their lives in this conflict of unprecedented scale and horror.
